METEOAGENT – A forecast app for solar flares and geomagnetic storms

TERMS OF USE

The App is not a substitute (or replacement) for medical supplies, drugs, therapy, diet, advice or any other form of treatment prescribed by physicians.

January 25, 2025: Meteoagent is a weather data aggregator that shows its deviations from the generally accepted average values.

The weather data in the application is provided from the independent sources from all over the world, that is why Meteoagent is not responsible for unreliable data, errors in the analytics, or any types of errors and any kind of consequences when using such data. If you notice errors, please report them.

Meteoagent does not share or sell personal user information in any way (email, location, health, user activity) to third-parties (and others).

App refund is issued under the official Apple Store / Google play Returns Program.

The interpretation of this agreement is governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA and applies to claims for its violation, regardless of conflict of laws principles.

Data Storage, Retention Periods and Deletion

What Data We Collect

The application collects and processes the following user data:

Email address — used for identification, authorisation and communication with the user.
Geolocation data — used to provide the main functionality of the application (e.g. displaying location, routes or recommendations).

Data Retention Periods

We store your data:

for the entire duration of your account (as long as it is active);
for 180 calendar days after account deletion — this period is necessary for data recovery in case of accidental deletion, as well as for performing technical deletion procedures from backups.

How a User Can Delete Their Data

You can delete your data in the following ways:

Independently in the app — go to the profile settings section → "Delete my data" or "Delete account". After confirmation, your data will be deleted from the active database.
"Request deletion" button in the app — a button is available in the profile or settings screen to send a deletion request.
Feedback form — in the app, go to "Support" → "Request data deletion" and fill out the form.
Email — send a request to support@meteoagent.com with the subject line "Deletion of my data" and indicate the email address you used in the app.

After receiving a request through any channel, we process it without undue delay, but in any case within 7 business days.

Automatic Deletion upon Account Deletion

If you delete your account via the app's functionality:

Your data is immediately marked for deletion in the active database;
Background processes completely delete it from the active database within 48 hours;
Your data is retained in backups in accordance with clause 5.5.

Data Backups

We create daily backups of the database to protect against failures and data loss.

Important: deletion of data from the active database does not mean its instant deletion from backups.

Your data will be fully deleted from all backups no later than 180 days after confirmation of the deletion request.

Exceptions

We may retain data longer than the specified periods if required:

by law or by a government authority request;
to prevent fraud or investigate security incidents;
to fulfil contractual obligations to you (e.g. if an unprocessed deletion request conflicts with another legal obligation).

Deletion Confirmation

You can request confirmation of your data deletion at any time by writing to support@meteoagent.com. We will provide confirmation within 14 days.

Privacy Policy

By starting to use the application, the user confirms that he has read the agreement and gives his consent to the processing of his data for the better functioning of the application.

The application can collect the following data: email, last name / first name, geolocation, device IP address.

MeteoAgent does not sell any user information (email, location, well-being, user activity) in any way. MeteoAgent has the right to de-identify, anonymize, and publicly disseminate aggregated information about well-being, as well as to use it for scientific, research, and other purposes.

The application can use the following analytical tools, providing them with an access to certain user data (IP, geolocation, cookies, browser version): Google Analytics, Google Firebase, Google Tag Manager, among others, storing and transmitting them to Google in order to improve the user experience.

The app can send users push notifications that can be opted out.

The app processes and shares collected user data with Apple.

The app processes and shares the users' payment information using the Apple App Store service.

The app uses the user's geo-positioning to calculate the weather forecast.

Account Deletion Users can delete their account directly from within the app. Go to Profile - Settings - Delete Account. Alternatively, users can request account deletion by contacting support at support@meteoagent.com

Data Deletion

Users can request the deletion of all personal data associated with their account.

This can be done either by tapping “Delete Account” in the app (Profile - Settings), which will permanently remove the account and related data; or by contacting support at support@meteoagent.com.
